We're really excited about this year’s Waiuku Steel n Wheels Festival on 13th April! Save this date as it's going to be a good ole rumble of a day in Waiuku Town Centre, from 10 am - 2 pm.
Entry $5 adults and Gold coin for Kids to support the continuation of this community event (not included in your train fare).
Ride the GVR Steam Train Experience to the event. Catch the 10.00am train from Glenbrook Station and return on the 1.30pm or 3.00pm train from Victoria Ave (Waiuku).
You can also catch the train from Victoria Ave (Waiuku) to Glenbrook Station and return - just buy your tickets at Glenbrook Station upon arrival!
This iconic event is a car enthusiast’s dream, but has something for everyone. From Vintage cars to Hot-rods to Tractors, and everything in between.
This year brings different attractions as well as some big favourites including the infamous fire breathing Jet Car AND the Jet Dragster. The FMX Stunt Riders are back! Cowboys and Pistols, Booms and bangs, Quad 50 and Military vehicles, Chainsaw racing, Lots of live music, Rock n Roll, Rockabilly, Beatles Tribute show, dreamy classics on wheels, dancing, drummers, chopper joy rides and more!
Wander the outdoor markets full of crafts, gifts and delicious treats or relax with a coffee or a cold beer at one of our cafes or bars. For the kids; visit the carnival, take a train ride, have your face painted or do some art, chat to Police and other Emergency services, and of course eat candy-floss!
NO Dogs, Alcohol, Bikes or Scooters allowed into the event for safety reasons.
